A low-budget effort which presumes a Washington state audience (since directions begin with the ferry ride to North Vancouver Island, but neglect to mention the state one is embarking from), this guide to recreational vehicle and general camping on B.C.'s beautiful North Vancouver Island highlights a number of interesting areas and sites. Made by John and Micki Pappas, avid campers and videographers, the program leans toward good fishing spots, but also drops in on some interesting out of the way places with other attractions. At Mary Vincent's RV park, for instance, the Pappas' learned that playing a kazoo was de rigeur, and therefore joined their fellow campers in a rousing kazoo concert led by Mary on keyboards. Although the information is good (this is straight folks delivering useful information learned through trial and error, the program would appeal more to regional than national audiences. An optional purchase. (R. Pitman)
