In the world according to Suze Orman, "you are perfect with or without money." Personally, it's been my experience that most people are not perfect with or without money. Subtitled "Practical & Spiritual Steps So You Can Stop Worrying," Orman's filmed seminar is on solid ground when detailing the practical aspects of money management (steer clear of credit card debt, set up living trusts, purchase long term care insurance, etc.) but tends to get a little on the late night infomercial side (i.e., with a low wheat to chaff ratio) when talking about the touchy-feely side of money. During the first hour, Orman delivers her nine steps with the aforementioned mix of vague fuzzy aphorisms and straightforward tips; the final half hour is devoted to Q&A, and here Orman offers strictly no-nonsense solid financial advice. On balance, this is worth picking up, especially since a fortuitous appearance on Oprah skyrocketed Orman's books onto the bestseller lists. Recommended. Aud: C, P. (R. Pitman)
