Dave Overoye (or "nightdave") offers an excellent update of his earlier comprehensive guide to the Internet (see VL-3/95). Humorous (yet informed) narration coupled with plentiful screen shots and winning graphics make this one of the best overviews on the market. Overoye takes viewers onto the Web in style, as well as covering other aspects of the net, such as FTP, Telnet, etc. Too, unlike older titles, this one looks at newer features such as video teleconferencing and streamlined audio. Overoye uses America Online (who recently made headlines with a notable crash), but continually reminds viewers that other WWW browsers are available. Highly recommended. Aud: J, H, C, P. (R. Pitman)

Star Ratings
As of March 2022, Video Librarian has changed from a four-star rating system to a five-star one. This change allows our reviewers to have a wider range of critical viewpoints, as well as to synchronize with Google’s rating structure. This change affects all reviews from March 2022 onwards. All reviews from before this period will still retain their original rating. Future film submissions will be considered our new 1-5 star criteria.
