Opening with "Gentle on My Mind" and "By the Time I Get to Phoenix," this live concert/dance revue filmed at the Glen Campbell Goodtime Theater in Branson, MI, seemed, at first, like another one of those forced gaiety affairs where performers no longer in the spotlight play old favorites for a nostalgic audience. Then Campbell played "Wichita Lineman," and I got that tingly feeling in my spine. The point is that different songs will resonate with different folks, but for a large slice of Americans, one or more of the Campbell tunes (including "Rhinestone Cowboy," "Galveston," and "Southern Nights") is going to make them go all puppy faced. Recommended for general collections. (R. Pitman)
